Happy New Year, guys!
As we stand at the threshold of 2020, I hope you’re filled with the hope that only comes from following the King of Kings. Let’s make the most of this year in discipling our boys and men.
To help you with this mission, I want to update you on some new resources.
1. Check out the resources on a new website from your State Board of Missions. I am very excited to announce this new web resource for men.
Our goal is to bring updated resources and information in the simplest way possible.
When most of us guys go to Walmart, we don’t go “shopping.” We go “retrieving.” We go in, get what we need and get out.
That’s how this new website is laid out. With our new website, in just a few clicks you can see men’s events, blogs, resources and more.
The resource page is what excites me. You will find practical resources such as training videos, podcasts and service/ministry opportunities, to name a few features. We will add more resources throughout the year.
There are countless ways the new website can help you in your walk, equip your men’s ministry to be disciple-makers and encourage you as you disciple others. So, check out the new website, and let’s do men’s discipling together.
2. We are adding an event for teen guys called Fortify.
Our young men are bombarded with mixed messages about what it means to be a real man.
Our goal is to equip young men, grades 7-12, with a Biblical approach to their identity and strengthen their walk in Christ.
The first Fortify event will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Journey Church in Prattville.
3. August is a new month of intense training for men.
We will offer practical training on a variety of topics over the course of four days in three locations: August 7-8 at Shocco Springs (The Pinnacle), August 14 in North Alabama and August 15 in South Alabama. More info will be coming soon.
4. Know a church new to Men’s Ministry?
We can help. We have a Men’s Ministry Starter Kit that may serve as a kickstart for a new ministry or help rejuvenate an existing one. Contact us for more info.
5. There are events all over the state in 2020.
